Krikor Jangeozian (Baritone) is a graduate of the State Conservatory of Beirut/Lebanon. He studied voice with renowned soprano, Arpine Pehlivanian. To further specialize in his art, he attended the “Gomidas” state conservatory of Yerevan/Armenia where he studied under the guidance of professor, Arshavir Garabedian. During this period, Jangeozian gave several concerts where he was so highly regarded by the great armenian composers and musicians, that they offered their works to Jangeozian for his use. At this time he also completed a number of recordings, TV shows and interviews in Armenia.

His repertoir consists of many great Armenian and European classical composers’ and musicians’ works.

Krikor Jangeozian has given many benefit concerts in Canada, United States, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Kuwait. The proceeds of these concerts have all been donated to charitable purposes. He has also performed at various community special events as a guest artist.

In 2006, in appreciation of his long and successful career and his generosity of giving numerous benefit concerts, he was awarded with two prestigeous gold medals.

  1. Gold medal of the Ministry of Culture of The State of Armenia given by Mr. Arman Akopian, Charge d’Affaires of Armenia in Canada.
  2. “Mesrob Mashdotz” gold medal of Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia, given by His Holiness Aram I Catholicos (Beirut/Lebanon) and bestowed by Archbishop Khajag Hagopian (Toronto/Canada).

Other awards:

  • Krikor Jangeozian was honoured by the pastor, Fr. Zareh Zargarian of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church, in recognition of his outstanding and loyal contribution to Armenian culture (Toronto 2004)
  • First prize gold medal of the “Parsegh Ganatchian”competition (Beirut 1978)
  • In appreciation for a Solo concert, Jangeozian was given a gold medal by the representative of The Syrian Ministry of Culture Mr. Jelal Mallah (Aleppo 1975)

In 2008 the auditorium of the newly built school in Madaghis/Karabagh (Armenia) was named in honour of Krikor Jangeozian.
